(2)Postgraduate Studentship (PGS) for MPhil/PhD Fellowship
2-3 full PGS scholarships which provides monthly are available. Apply through email - only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. Application deadline: Oct 2025 (for Spring 2026 intake) and May 2026 (for Fall 2026 intake). Acceptance will be denied once all scholarship positions are filled.
What to expect…
The PhD or Masters research opportunities in our research group broadly involve design and synthesizing of organic materials, and/or fabrication of organic devices for optoelectronics (e.g. OLEDs, OFETs, OECTs, OPVs) for organic electronics, bioelectronics and sensing applications. Other relevant topics can be explored, but should center around the application of organic materials. The student will be involved in, but not limited to the following:
- Organic materials computational design and synthesis,
- Characterising the mechanical, electrical, structural properties, and so on.
- Fabrication of devices and sensors for testing
- Mentor new undergraduate or graduate students.
- Training as a scientist include analysis and interpretation of data, keeping up to date with state-of-the-art literature, engaging in collaborative discussions among team members and external collaborators and honing your presentation skills.
What we expect from you…
- Curiosity, a genuine passion for scientific research, openness to interdisciplinary research, good research ethics, team player.
- Good level of written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelor or Master degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields in Engineering and Science
- TOEFL≥ 80 or IELTS≥ 6.5 (If English is not your first language, oryour bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification, was awarded by an institution where the medium of instruction was not English.)
- Prior research experience and/or publications in the area of organic materials, polymers, organic devices, flexible or wearable devices, and other related fields will be an advantage
