诚然，在学校组织体育艺术活动对学生来说是非常有益的：一是让学习紧张的孩子们有放松的机会；二是这些活动还可以让学生参与体育艺术，拓展孩子们的兴趣，甚至可能从中发现很多有天分的体育艺术学生（在美国NBA球员中，很多都是通过校园体育活动发现的）。
然而，这并不意味着政府不应该组织面向大众的专业体育艺术活动。这类大型的专业体育艺术活动可以激发全民体育艺术热情，丰富公众的业余生活，提高幸福感。比如，中国2008年成功举办奥运会，向世界展示了中国形象，提升了全民的自豪感，为中国的发展起到了重要作用。
我的观点：在学校组织体育艺术活动和组织大型的专业体育艺术活动两者并不矛盾，它们实现不同的目的。对于政府而言，既要投资国家的未来，也要着眼当前的发展，因此只要可能，应该兼顾两者。
