再次确认自己的审查资格是否通过
作为ISEF Finalist，你一定是通过ISEF附属赛选拔出来的优秀学生，但是务必要注意每个地区赛的参赛要求和全球总决赛的要求多多少少会略有出入，一定要确保自己的项目符合总决赛的要求。
首当其冲的便是需要再次确认项目的SRC或者IRB审查是否符合要求，所要求的表格文件务必按照标准填写，真实、准确，符合学术诚信与科学伦理审查的要求。尤其是在官网中被点名出来的项目，都是需要重点关注的同学。

不过，哪怕是之前的表格已经通过线上审核，到了线下也千万不能掉以轻心，一切准备妥当以应对各类常规与临时检查都是非常有必要的。
建议确认：
#所有的ISEF表格的日期符合标准与要求
例如实验正式开展需要在通过SRC审查委员会审核通过实验方案及风险调查后；所有设计的包括DSQS或者实验人，均需要签字确认，如果涉及未成年人还需要征询监护人的同意。
#所有的项目材料符合学术规范和要求
例如对于研究文献的引用规范，所有图片的版权来源等均需要在材料中标明清晰，不仅仅是PPT或者Poster中，还有包括日志材料或者论文材料等。

参赛材料准备
每一位参赛选手，在最后可以检查一下，需要参与评选的各项材料。
每一年ISEF组委会均会非常详细对所需要准备的材料进行说明与指导，并且每一年的材料都有一些细微的调整，哪怕你是多届选手，也一定要自己确认约定当年材料，根据当年的要求进行参赛的准备哦。
相信准备参加线下活动的同学们，Virtual Display材料应该都已经提交并通过审核啦，那我们在线下活动需要准备哪些材料呢？
Poster：
这是最重要的参赛比赛材料，线下的比赛材料与线上的材料无需完全一样，但是同样需要符合ISEF的规则要求，以及注意各项学术规范。如果临场发现了一些小问题，没有时间再继续打印调整展板，也不用着急，可以通过打补丁的方式来进行处理。记住，正确永远更加重要！

官方所要求的ISEF表格文件以及其他证明材料，比如如何有涉及到他人照片肖像等图片，均需要获得使用授权书。
项目研究日志：
记录真实的研究过程的日志或者过程性的记录，展现出真实的研究思考，研究论文过程。
项目作品：
项目作品是你的项目最直观的呈现，无论他是发明实物作品还是网页APP或程序等，均需要做好展示的准备，尤其是非直观的实物项目，现场要充分利用电脑等设备，展示可视化。当然，发明类作品，电脑也需要准备好对应的程序或软件，以应对现场评委的各项细节提问。另外，还可以准备一些有价值的视频，比如实验过程等等来辅助项目的呈现。

建议准备：
一篇完整的研究论文，除了展板，研究论文也是全面展现项目研究成果的重要材料，尤其是各类研究的细节，可以在论文中有更为详细的呈现。一些必备的工程工具。根据以往的经验，ISEF现场也会准备一些基本的工具，但是往往有些时候难以满足项目现场维修的需求，所以准备一些便携趁手的小工具，及时解决项目临场的小问题，也是非常不错的选择。
不要准备的内容：
当然除了项目本身，一些吸引人但是过犹不及的小物件，那就不建议在赛场上展现出来。我们可以参考组委会给出的要求。“小聪明”不如专注力，将目光都吸引在项目中，才是优质的评审交流过程。组委会明确要求，在比赛期间是不允许评委与选手产生私下联系与对接的，所以也千万要注意交往的分寸，不要因小失大哦。

如何应对评审呢？
如果你是第一次进入ISEF总决赛，那你会感觉ISEF可能是你遇到最开放、公开，也是最累的一场比赛。在现场，你会接受来自世界各地的专家评委们的提问，有可能你一天需要面对十几名的“诘问”。那我们该如何应对呢？
成为现场的那个E人
在这个舞台，要充分展现自己，面对所有的评委、嘉宾或者选手，展现开放、自信、乐观、谦虚的姿态是非常重要的。现场要有随机应变的能力，面对开放性评委，多讲故事、多讲设计，面对技术型评委，展现专业细节；面对“刁难”型评委，多请教问题，也要敢于发声，据理力争但不是咄咄逼人。

充分准备答辩的内容
在现场千万不要照本宣科，只读poster，相信评委的专业性，与对于项目提前熟悉的准备。如何有逻辑地将项目呈现出来，那可以借用Project Presentation Template中的陈述逻辑，按照一个项目的研究框架与内容，展现出项目的完整形态。
在这个过程中，增加更多poster中没有提交的亮点细节，比如为什么这个研究问题对于你有触动意义，你的项目的价值在什么地方，你在设计过程中遇到的失败与调整的过程。更多的细节，能够让评委更能跟着你的思路去思考，看到你的项目闪光点。当然，也可以设计几个适当的留白点，让评委进入你设置的“问题坑”。一切以保证交流的质量为优先级。

Grand Award Judging Criteria
The following evaluation criteria are used for judging at the Regeneron ISEF. As shown below, science and engineering have different criteria, each with five sections as well as suggested scoring for each section. Each section includes key items to consider for evaluation both before and after the interview.
Students are encouraged to design their posters in a clear and informative manner to allow pre-interview evaluation and to enable the interview to become an in-depth discussion. Judges should examine the student notebook and, if present, any special forms such as Form 1C (Regulated Research Institution/Industrial Setting) and Form 7 (Continuation of Projects). Considerable emphasis is placed on two areas: Creativity and Presentation, especially in the Interview section, and are discussed in more detail below.
Creativity & Potential Impact: A creative project demonstrates imagination and inventiveness. Such projects often offer different perspectives that open up new possibilities or new alternatives. Similarly, a project’s impact or potential impact on the world can be a key element to consider. If not clearly demonstrated or tested, does the student recognize and envision the potential impact? Judges should place emphasis on research outcomes and analysis in evaluating creativity and potential impact.
Presentation/Interview: The interview provides the opportunity to interact with the finalists and evaluate their understanding of the project’s basic science, interpretation and limitations of the results and conclusions.
If the project was done at a research or industrial facility, the judge should determine the degree of independence of the finalist in conducting the project, which is documented on Form 1C.
If the project was completed at home or in a school laboratory, the judge should determine if the finalist received any mentoring or professional guidance.
If the project is a multi-year effort, the interview should focus ONLY on the current year’s work. Judges should review the project’s abstract and Form 7 (ISEF Continuation Projects) to clarify what progress was completed this year.
Please note that both team and individual projects are judged together, and projects should be judged only on the basis of their quality. However, all team members should demonstrate significant contributions to and an understanding of the project.
